We had the opportunity to work on a collaborative case study with WWF-SA and Nedbank (via Mondi support), on pasture-based dairy farms which receive water from the Tsitsikamma and Outeniqua water sources. Pasture water use efficiency was determined by measuring the system, calibration and scheduling efficiencies of centre pivots. Additionally we looked at the opportunity cost of improved irrigation efficiency. Read more about the findings.
